Brief Bio
Itzhak Gilboa studied Mathematics and Computer Science (BSc, 1982) and Economics (BA, 1982, MA, 1984, Ph.D., 1987) at Tel Aviv University, with the graduate studies under the supervision of David Schmeidler.
He works in decision theory and other fields in economic theory such as game theory and social choice. His main research areas are decision under uncertainty, focusing on the definition of probability, notions of rationality, non-Bayesian decision models, and related issues.
He has been teaching a variety of courses on microeconomics, decision theory, game theory, psychology and economics, and related fields, at the undergraduate, graduate, and MBA levels.
He is the author of severel books such as Analogies and Theories: Formal Models of Reasoning, Oxford University Press, 2015 ; Theory of Decision under Uncertainty, Cambridge University Press, 2009 ; Rational Choice, MIT Press, 2010 and Making Better Decisions, Wiley-Blackwell, 2010.
His recent research papers are published in prestigious scientific journals such as American Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Annual Reviews in Economics, BE Journals in Theoretical Economics, Econometrica, Economics and Philosophy, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Mathematical Social Sciences, Review of Economics and Statistics, The Journal of Econometrics.
Itzhak Gilboa is also the holder of the AXA Chair in Decision Sciences

Juan Piñeiro is Professor at Santiago de Compostela University. He teaches mainly finances, business and technology related courses both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. His research interests are focused on different areas such as sutainability, innovation, and finance. On these topics, he has published many papers in international journals including 'Finance Research Letters', 'International Journal of Information Management',' Technological Forecasting and Social Change', 'Journal of Business Research', or 'International Review of Economics & Finance'. He also serve as Editor-in-Chief for the journal “Journal of Innovation & Knowledge”.

Bringing a wealth of knowledge in global payments with a number of prior senior roles including President & Managing Director of of Thredd, as well as FTSE companies such as Paysafe Group and PXP Financial, Suresh has represented the Fintech sector and the UK Government on a number of trade missions to Mexico, Australia and China.
He has a substantial understanding of electronic money, throughout its complete value chain, with strategic knowledge on what works and does not work in various international markets having worked with many unicorns from inception including Monzo and Starling Bank.
In 2011, Suresh launched the first ever contactless wristwatch in the UK. This is in addition to being responsible for launching the first App controlled NFC solution for the iPhone in Europe.
In 2015, Suresh helped Revolut launch its idea to the market by being their first issuer and Bin Sponsor.
In 2017 Suresh became the first non-American in its 11-year history to be awarded the prestigious Industry achievement award by PAY magazine and, In 2018 Suresh was voted #1 in the Payments Power 10, an annual top ten list of key influencers in the payments industry voted by the industry.
Suresh was selected to join the working group for the Payment Strategy Forum which helped shape changes in the payments industry that the FCA implemented through the Payment Systems Regulator.
