Brief Bio
Constantin Blome is Full Professor of Operations Management and Associate Dean for Research at University of Sussex Business School, and Kronos Group Endowed Chair at UCLouvain, Belgium. He is also Co-Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Operations & Production Management. For his academic work, Constantin received several awards, most recently the Global Highly Cited Scholar Award being among the top 1% highly cited scholars in the field. Constantin's research interests include supply chain management, procurement and operations management with strong focus on sustainability, innovation and risk issues.


Abstract
The pandemic has changed the world and the research landscape in supply chain management. In the talk we will revisit extant research and try to understand future research avenues in the new normal. The aim is to reflect, critique and understand which immense opportunities lie in front of us, but only in case we as researchers also adjust.

Eric Prévost has a role of Global Strategy Vice President for Discrete Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 at Oracle Industry Strategy organization. He has 21 years of experience working in digital strategy roles for Manufacturing, Banking, Healthcare and Public sectors. Eric spent 16 years on IBM Global Services and Capgemini running then leading consulting activities on Business transformation and Digital transformation. Writer of several papers about Innovation practices for business and Artificial intelligence for the manufacturing. And co-author of a BPM: Modeling through Monitoring book. Eric is also the president of the TRIZ-France innovation association in charge of developing innovation practices in France and worldwide innovation cooperation


Abstract
Industry 4.0 trends require manufacturers rethink their digital strategy and platforms to transform their challenges into opportunities. In this turmoil period, manufacturers must use data as the new creativity, efficiency and revenue oil while the golden age of traditional delocalized mass manufacturing is over. New business models, and new supply chain, geopolitical, environmental, societal challenges are creating new opportunities. A new world of convergence between Modern Digital like Cloud, AI, IOT, Blockchain, mixed with Modern experience economy of services and manufacturing needs to be setup for getting value of new opportunities.

Brief Bio
Dr Wu excels in his role with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a researcher with more than a decade of professional experience. Having held numerous roles with the university previously, his expertise precedes him. Over the years, Dr Wu worked closely with many industrial partners to support and contribute to the formulation of their business strategies, operations improvement and new product development. Dr Wu was the recipient of the Big Data Analysis Award from the China & Hong Kong Enterprise Market Development Association in 2014, the Best Reviewer Award for a journal entitled Internet Research in 2016, and the Outstanding Paper Award of Emerald Literati Network Awards in 2019. Dr Wu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and a PhD in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. He also holds a six sigma black belt certification from the Hong Kong Society of Quality and he contributes regularly to research papers in the areas of Internet of Things, Engineering Optimisation and Business Intelligence. In collaboration with several scholars at PolyU, Tianjin University, Sun Yat-sen University, The University of York, etc, his project works and research outcomes have been presented in 10+ international conferences and published in 50+ international refereed journals, such as Information Science, Internet Research, Expert Systems with Applications, Enterprise Information Systems, Industrial Management and Data Systems. He is also one of the authors of IoT: The Basic, Applications and Case Studies (in Chinese; ISBN: 978-986-925-960-6), and System Design and Technology of Biomedical Internet of Things (in Chinese; ISBN: 978-986-84784-7-3).


Abstract
Today, mobile phones, homes, buildings, transportation and energy grids etc. in the cities are all connected, namely IoT, they are the results of the rapid developments of ICT infrastructures and cloud services. The speaker will discuss some of the design and implementation issues of IoT, and some future research implications of IoT using co-citation analysis will be identified, especially when IoT meets blockchain.
